Description
YouTube Strategist [Contract]
If you’re an experienced YouTube Strategist who wants to help change the world, we want to meet you!
About Pok Pok
Pok Pok is on a mission to raise the next generation of creative thinkers.
We’re the team behind the Apple Design Award-winning Montessori app, Pok Pok, and were named one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential Companies of 2025. Our award-winning digital toys and videos empower children to think outside the box, dream big, and explore their creativity in a mindful way. We believe screen time can be thoughtful, educational, and just as imaginative as the toys we grew up playing with on the floors of our living rooms.
Pok Pok is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion. We encourage people of all races, religions, genders, abilities and sexual orientations to apply. We want the products we develop to reflect the diversity of the world we live in, and it starts with our own team.
About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled YouTube Strategist to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience translating YouTube analytics into actionable growth plans and is passionate about creating high-quality, mindful digital content for parents and young children.
This is a remote, contract position requiring approximately 20 hours per week. While this is a fully remote position, we are prioritizing candidates working within EST or CEST time zones.
What you’ll do
- Develop and evolve the channel’s content strategy, positioning, and growth roadmap aligned with Pok Pok’s brand and audience (parents and young children).
- Provide direction and feedback on scripts, thumbnails, titles, and overall content packaging to optimize performance.
- Analyze channel performance and key metrics (e.g., subscribers, watch time, CTR,
- retention), and translating insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Manage, update and write metadata as it pertains to SEO and optimization.
- Establish and maintain a consistent publishing cadence and content calendar.
- Identify and test growth opportunities, including trends, collaborations, and distribution strategies.
- Advise on YouTube best practices, algorithm changes, and platform updates.
- Collaborate with internal team members and external partners to ensure high-quality execution.
- Deliver regular performance updates.
- Create thumbnails, titles and SEO-focused video descriptions and upload new videos.
You might be a fit if you
- Are highly organized and proactive.
- Have a proven track record of successfully managing and growing YouTube channels (bonus points if it’s in the family, kids, or educational space!).
- Are obsessed with CTR and AVD, with a sharp eye for what makes a thumbnail clickable and a title irresistible.
- Are a data-driven storyteller who can look at YouTube Studio analytics and turn charts into a concrete action plan.
- Understand YouTube SEO inside and out.
- Are a strong communicator (clear, kind, structured) who thrives when collaborating with creative teams, scriptwriters, and external partners.
